James' rich owners moved away from Number 104,
The Corner House, and left James behind by mistake. He had no choice
but to live in the garden, in the marigold patch (I think?!!?). Since
he was used to being pampered, he didn't have much of an idea about
how to fend for himself, and would try and persuade his friends into
doing things for him. He always had a plan and was always the self
appointed leader because he could sound grand even though he had no
idea what he was talking about!
He shared the garden with an Australian Kangeroo (Freida?), a pink
dragon (George?), a battered grey rabbit, a lady snail with red lipstick
and a red hat, and this frog who might have been Scottish!
